At the inaugural Kinetic Fighting Integrated Combat Dining In and Awards Night held at the KEF Headquarters in Brisbane in December 2020, Chief Instructor of the The Tough Choices Initiative and Director of Civilian Programs at Kinetic Fighting, Glenn Irvine, was awarded the KEF-IC Instructor of the Year. The award was presented by KEF Founder Paul Cale, in the presence of three of the Australian Army's most influential Close Combat Instructors (SGT Paul Cale, WO2 Bryson Keenan, and MAJ John Whipp).
